How it works
See what changes
Amber marks the small part that carries the change.
The ending of badd- names who wants something
Keep badd- and change its ending: baddi for I, baddak for you masculine, baddik for you feminine, and badna for we. Put a bare verb after it: baddi eekol.
I → you feminine
I want to eat
you want to eat (f)
The ending moves from -i to -ik, and the following verb also addresses a woman.
I → we
I want to eat
we want to eat
The -na ending changes the person from I to we.
ʿam still marks what is happening now
Reuse ʿam before the full b-present form. Keep the person prefix on the verb: ʿam boṭbokh, ʿam btoṭbokhi.
usually → right now
I cook
I am cooking
ʿam sets the action in progress without removing the b-prefix.
